What is the AI Hospitality Alliance?
The AI Hospitality Alliance (AIHA) is an independent industry organization dedicated to advancing the responsible adoption and collaborative development of artificial intelligence across the global hospitality industry. AIHA was founded to give hotels, technology providers, and operators a seat at the table as AI reshapes how travelers discover, book, and experience hospitality.
AIHA's founding partners represent a broad cross-section of the ecosystem: commercial platforms, property management systems, revenue optimization, digital marketing, AI infrastructure, operations technology, guest experience, booking technology, distribution, and higher education.
Artificial intelligence is not a future consideration for hospitality. It is already changing how travelers find hotels, how commercial teams make pricing decisions, and how operators run their properties.
The decisions being made right now, about interoperability standards, responsible deployment, governance frameworks, and how AI platforms treat hotel inventory, will shape how this industry operates for years to come. Hospitality should be helping write those rules, not reacting to them after the fact.
FLYR Hospitality is a founding member of AIHA, and the only dedicated revenue and commercial optimization platform at the table
Key facts:
- FLYR Hospitality - founding member
- Andrew Rubinacci, CCO - AIHA advisory board
- FLYR Hospitality is the only dedicated revenue and commercial optimization platform among AIHA's founding members
- AIHA founded June 2026
FLYR Hospitality is proud to join AIHA at its founding. Our CCO, Andrew Rubinacci, is joining the AIHA advisory board, ensuring that revenue and commercial optimization have direct representation as the Alliance's standards and governance frameworks are built.
"The hotels that win the next decade will be the ones whose data and pricing intelligence are native to the AI layer. AIHA is where those standards are defined, and FLYR Hospitality is proud to help define them."
Andrew Rubinacci, Chief Commercial Officer, FLYR Hospitality
What is AIHA building?
AIHA has published a transparent public declaration of its mission, vision, and 12-month roadmap organized around five strategic workstreams. Here is what each one means for hotel commercial teams:
Agentic direct booking and commerce
AI platforms like ChatGPT and Perplexity are becoming the first place travelers research hotels. This workstream ensures hotels maintain control of the guest relationship as discovery and booking moves to AI-native interfaces, representing hoteliers in conversations with major AI platforms and building standards for direct booking through consumer AI tools.
Standards and technical guidelines
Hospitality technology is fragmented. PMS, CRS, channel manager, and revenue management systems often cannot communicate efficiently. This workstream develops open interoperability guidance and technical standards, including protocol working groups for MCP, ACP, and A2A, so that hotel systems work together more effectively as AI becomes the connective layer.
Governance and responsible AI
AI contracts are written by vendors. This workstream develops model AI clauses that protect hoteliers, provides guidance on privacy, staff impact, and sustainability, and sets standards for responsible deployment including GDPR compliance and human handoff requirements.
Thought leadership and education
Most hotels are making AI adoption decisions without reliable, vendor-neutral information. This workstream produces original research, whitepapers, vendor evaluation frameworks, and a public use-case library so hotel operators can make informed decisions.
Events and industry collaboration
Industry AI Days, online events, and an AI Hospitality Summit, creating the spaces where the industry compares notes, shares what's working, and builds shared understanding of where AI is heading.
Why is FLYR Hospitality involved in AIHA?
FLYR Hospitality is the only dedicated revenue and commercial optimization platform among AIHA's founding members. AI has been built into the core of our platform since day one, using reinforcement learning and neural network models that refresh our forecasting, pricing, and restrictions engines hourly, with a 98% AI acceptance rate across our portfolio and industry-leading forecast accuracy that customers can see benchmarked directly in the platform.
Running AI at this depth, with compounding knowledge over time, brings needed revenue and decision science expertise to AIHA. The frameworks being defined for AI interoperability and governance will directly affect how hotel platforms operate, how pricing and availability data flows between systems, and how commercial teams use AI. FLYR Hospitality is in that room to make sure those decisions reflect the reality of how hotel revenue management actually works.
Progress at the platform level needs to be matched by progress at the industry level. The challenges ahead - interoperability, agentic commerce, responsible deployment - are genuinely bigger than any single vendor.
The founding principle of AIHA: no single company, hotel brand, or technology provider can solve the industry's AI challenges alone.
Who are the AIHA founding members?
The founding member group spans the full hospitality technology ecosystem. Full founding member list: Apaleo, Canary Technologies, Cendyn, Cloudbeds, Curacity, FLYR Hospitality, Grevon, Lighthouse, Milestone, Polydom.
